Integrations

Lendbox integrations for payments, reminders, data import and your own systems

Everything on this page works in Lendbox today. Each integration carries one of two labels, so you know before you sign up how it connects: built in, or brought across through an Excel import.

How to read the labels

Built in
Runs inside Lendbox. You switch it on from the dashboard, with nothing to install and no outside account to open.
Works with, via import
No live connection. You export from the other system to Excel and bring the data in with the Lendbox importers.

Where an integration works in one country only, its card names it by ISO code. ZM is Zambia.

Every integration, by category

Filter by what you need to connect, or by how it connects. Each card opens the section of the page that covers it in full.

Questions buyers ask first

Does Lendbox integrate with mobile money?

Yes, in Zambia. MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money and Zamtel Money are built into Lendbox for workspaces that run in Zambian kwacha (ZMW). A borrower pays from a payment link, from a prompt your officer pushes to their phone, or from your borrower portal, and the repayment posts to the loan once the network confirms it.

Loans pay out the same way, to a mobile money number or to a bank account, with the name on the receiving account checked first. Outside Zambia there is no built-in mobile money connection today: repayments taken through your own channels are recorded on the loan, one at a time or in a bulk upload.

Can Lendbox send SMS and WhatsApp payment reminders?

Yes. Lendbox sends repayment reminders by SMS, WhatsApp and email two days before a due date, the day before, on the day, after a missed payment and after a loan passes maturity, each at the hour you choose.

You pick the channels event by event. SMS and email use your own wording; WhatsApp uses approved templates and asks the borrower to opt in first. All three draw on one balance of prepaid notification credits.

Can I move my loans from Excel or another loan system?

Yes, through Excel. Lendbox has importers for borrowers and for loans, and a bulk upload for repayments. Loandisk, Musoni, Mambu, Mifos X and Loan Performer can all get their borrower and loan lists into a spreadsheet; you copy those columns into the Lendbox templates, fix anything the importer flags, and import.

A loan comes in at its original terms and release date, and its past repayments come in through the bulk upload with their real dates, so its balance and schedule end up where they stand in the old system. There is no direct connector to any of those systems.

Does Lendbox have an API?

Yes. Lendbox has a REST API with separate sandbox and production environments, authenticated with a key you generate in the dashboard, and webhooks that notify your server when a loan, borrower or repayment is created, updated or deleted.

API access is included on the Business, Growth and Enterprise plans, and the reference documentation is public at api.lendbox.io/docs.

Where do borrowers see their loans and pay?

On your borrower portal, which runs on a Lendbox subdomain or on your own domain. Borrowers apply there, see each loan’s balance and schedule, download statements and, in Zambia, pay by mobile money.

A borrower who never signs in can still pay from a payment link, and signs loan documents from a link that arrives by email.

Does Lendbox connect to accounting software or a credit bureau?

No, not today. There is no live connection to QuickBooks, Xero or another accounting package, and no credit bureau check. Lendbox keeps its own double-entry general ledger instead: every disbursement, repayment, fee and penalty posts to it as it happens, and the trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet come from it.

Reports export to Excel and PDF, and your full data set exports from inside the product whenever you want it.

Don’t see yours?

Tell us what you need Lendbox to connect to

If your bank, mobile network, payroll system or accounting package is not on this page, name it here. Requests are read by the team and counted by integration, so the more specific you are, the more yours counts.

  • Name the system, and the country you use it in
  • Say what should move between the two: repayments, borrower details, ledger entries
  • Tell us roughly how many loans or repayments a month it would carry

We use your email only to reply to this request.
