Plans and billing in Rwanda

What does Lendbox cost an Umurenge SACCO or MFI in Rwanda?

Basic is $29 a month, about RWF 43,000 in francs at the indicative rate, or $25 a month billed for the year. Business ($99 a month) adds a second branch and three staff logins, Growth ($149) a third branch and six, and Enterprise is priced per staff member and per branch for networks larger than that. Lendbox charges the card in US dollars; the franc figure is for your budget.

Does the subscription include the reports the National Bank of Rwanda asks for?

Yes, on every plan. The portfolio quality figures, arrears ageing and loan listings a licensed institution reports from are the same reports on Basic as on Enterprise; no plan holds a report back. What goes to the regulator is still prepared and submitted by you, from those figures.

Can a one-branch MFI in Rwanda start on the smallest plan?

Yes: Basic, after a 30-day trial that needs no card. One branch, one staff login, MoMo repayments recorded against the loan, the full ledger and every report. Add Business when a second branch opens. The plans are compared in US dollars on the Lendbox pricing page.

Billing questions from lenders in Rwanda

Is Lendbox billed in Rwandan francs?

No. Lendbox charges in US dollars and the receipt is a dollar receipt. The franc figures are a reference conversion; the francs your bank debits follow its own rate on the day.

Can I pay by MoMo in Rwanda?

Not for the subscription. MTN MoMo and Airtel Money cannot settle the Lendbox invoice, which is paid with a Visa or Mastercard that allows international online payments. Zambia is the only market where mobile money pays the subscription itself.

Does the trial for Rwandan lenders ask for a card?

No. The 30-day trial has no payment step. Run the book in francs, let the officers use it, and add a card at the end only if you want to keep going.

Is there a free plan in Rwanda?

No. Only Zambian lenders have a free plan. A Rwandan SACCO or MFI coming off the trial takes Basic, or Business and Growth when it runs more than one branch.

Who pays the bank's conversion fee?

Your bank's charge for a foreign-currency card payment, if it levies one, is between you and the bank; the dollar amount Lendbox charges does not include it.
