Plans and billing in Tanzania

How much does Lendbox cost a Tanzanian SACCOS?

Basic costs $29 a month, around TZS 77,000 at the indicative shilling rate, with a single branch and one staff login; yearly billing brings it to $25 a month. A SACCOS with two branches takes Business at $99 a month, three branches Growth at $149, and beyond that Enterprise is priced per staff member and per branch. The card is charged in US dollars whichever plan you choose.

Do group loans or a larger member roll cost extra in Tanzania?

No. Group loans are part of every plan, and neither the number of members nor the number of loans changes the price. Only branches and staff logins do. A community lender running one branch with one officer can carry hundreds of group members on Basic, and M-Pesa and Airtel Money repayments are recorded against each member's loan on every plan.

Where is the dollar price list for these plans?

On the Lendbox pricing page. It shows Basic, Business, Growth and Enterprise in the US dollars your card is actually charged, alongside the questions lenders ask before picking a plan. This page is the same sheet converted to shillings for a SACCOS board that budgets in TZS.

Billing questions from lenders in Tanzania

Is Lendbox billed in Tanzanian shillings?

No. The charge and the receipt are both in US dollars. The shilling figures here are a conversion for reference, and your bank's own rate on the day of payment decides the shilling amount you actually see debited.

Can I pay by M-Pesa in Tanzania?

Not for the subscription. M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa and Airtel Money repayments from borrowers can be recorded against loans, but the Lendbox subscription itself is paid by Visa or Mastercard with international online payments enabled. Only Zambia pays its subscription by mobile money.

Can we try Lendbox for 30 days from Tanzania without paying first?

Yes. The 30-day trial asks for no card and takes no payment. Run the SACCOS book in shillings for the full period, and add a card only when you choose to keep the system.

Is there a free plan in Tanzania?

No. The free plan exists in Zambia only. A Tanzanian lender leaving the trial takes Basic for one branch, and Business or Growth when a second or third branch opens.

Does one subscription cover all our branches?

Up to the branch count of the plan: Basic covers one branch, Business two and Growth three, each with its own staff logins. Beyond three branches, ask about the Enterprise plan.
